Lol Nicks gone dude. He just hits the reset event button every year. Why would he change it when we’re all still here and spending?

What you want him to say? “I’m implementing all kinds of cool new shit for 2020” ?? Never happen. Game is on life support. Has been for awhile. The chance at a future for TW was GS. But nick fucked that off too. Shame cause conceptually this is still one of the best app games I’ve found. But once he stopped advertising and whatnot things went downhill.

How much does it cost to run servers and add additional minor code a few times a year? It doesn’t take much for TW to be at least a little profitable, and with so little time invested at this point, why would he shut down a profitable business that essentially runs itself?

You have to look at it from his point of view. He doesn’t care. He knows whatever he does we’ll keep giving him money. He’s not our friend. He doesn’t care about the “community”. He’s a developer who is trying to make money. And if that money ever dips or he needs a down payment on his new vacation home he’ll just come up with a new “cap skill” type thing and bleed us for that. I don’t even blame him. It’s genius.
TW is in no way his main or even his secondary income source. The man is a research software professor and involved in multiple other non profit organizations to improve lives using software.
TW to him is akin to Ray Crock reminiscing about the the first few versions Hamburgers he tried out while developing McDonalds

Y’all deny it all you want. I never once have said the game was dead. If that were the case we wouldn’t be logging in. But be realistic. Nick clearly has no actual future plans for the game. Besides increasing the daily Bren limit lmao. Fuckin score bros! 😂

Grim join some mob tourneys and watch people grow 500 in a month while vets are around 260 average. Play the game you think has no life left. That would be realistic. If you log in just to bitch you aren’t doing anything for the game. War games need bad guys and keyboard warriors. Sure trolls can be annoying but return to my first point. War game. Shut the troll up on the map. That would involve actually playing the game though as you hop to set and cap. I would call a game like that Turf Wars if I thought of it

I can’t argue with any of that really. It’s not like I hate the game. Just jaded towards it now I guess 🤷🏻♂️ It still has its hooks in me still even though I don’t do much. Just sucks to have a lot of good memories and whatnot tied to something that feels like it’s just being left to rot. Feel like y’all deserve better than that. Not even including myself in that. You guys still put money in nicks pocket. Yeah it’s not like he really owes you anything as a dev. But it’s just out of touch compared to modern app devs. Best way to show how you feel is with your wallet. You can force him to make changes if y’all wanted. That’s how other changes in the game happened. Thanks to the community voicing their opinions etc.

I’ve sent in multiple tickets to support asking them to have nick pop in and talk with no response. What gives? He used to write in the forums? Why does he feel “some type of way” now? Where is the old nick??

Nick did not. From what I’ve seen and heard secondhand from guys who met him he came off like our IT guys. Super smart but a little awkward. Can be unlikable at times even if he generally means well. I can only think of one guy like that who plays and lives in Cali 🕵️♂️ 🤷🏻♂️ 🥞 😂
