Anyone know when ios 4.2 comes out. I know ive asked this before but i want folders and MULTITASKING!!!!!

Is there any point in having an iPad if you don't get the wi-fi + 3G ?

I have an iPad with 3G but no 3G card... Waiting for my mobile broadband to finish... It is a nice-to-have item.. I use for fb and turf wars mainly.. Oh and controlling my iTunes on my desktop and remote desktopping to my laptop to play on will hill... All in all a pretty expensive toy, but a fun one. Finally, i couldn't imagine playing this game on an touch/iPhone size screen...

Nice , so it is basically just a much bigger version of the iPhone give or take a few apps? Trying to sort some chrismas gifts out which is why I ask.

Essentially yes, it is a big iPhone. Somehow though it is more then that. Hard to explain but they do make good use of the bigger screen I suppose. As for playing TW on it I find myself going back to the phone to play most of the time. Something about the TW app layout that feels smoother and easier on the phone. As for the 3G it is very convenient to have on the iPad but I guess not 100% needed. If you can get the 3g one go for it if not go wifi and if your iPhone is Jail broken you can tether to the iPad for data.

Welshgirl probalby has the goldenmaster release. It is pretty fast and I haven't found any bugs yet.

I got the wifi only iPad because once I get a new phone, it will be a smart phone, and it didn't really make sense to be paying for data plans on both. Besides, I'm more likely to pull my phone out to look something up than the iPad at that point. But until then, especially with tw, it can be frustrating, but I just find a starbucks, ihop or some mcdonalds!

I agree with \\// 👊🔨💀 on all but 1 thing. This app is easier to see where you are exactly putting a turf and easier to select things with big fingers.. Tether is the way to go. Data plan costs to much to not even work as a phone.

I have the wifi pad and went with the Verizon mifi for mobility. Much more reliable network plus I can feed wifi to my pod and laptop as well for only $10 more per month than the AT&T plan. More versatility is worth it, plus the 130 I didn't spend for the 3G option allowed me to double the storage and still come out ahead.

That is true the Map screen on the iPad is way better then on the phone. I need to cancel my data plan and try out life on the tether for a while. One thing I never understood about the data is if the charge you a partial month on the iPad if you cancel mid month or if it runs till the end of the month that you cancel in and doesn't renew automatically. It is very convenient to just turn it on and go with the data plan. I should just set up a wifi router at work and then I would only need data for pandora in the car.
