Myles Garrett Suspension - How long should it be?

I say three years. There needs to be a major deterrent to other players if there is a thought to do what Garrett did. Garrett could have killed Rudolph.

Really? How about permanently.

Should get cut immediately and a lifetime suspension. The league has an opportunity here to send a clear and direct message.
-
Would that be 10 or 15 minutes in hockey? 😄 Seriously, though, I hate to see someone lose their career, but he should probably be booted from the NFL permanently.

I’m looking at similar incidents in other sports. Pitchers use baseballs as weapons to try and injure batters quite often (Clemens at Piazza comes to mind). Clemens even threw a bat at him.
When McSorely assaulted Brashear, McSorely did get criminal charges and an indefinite suspension...but I don’t believe it was an official lifetime ban.
I think I would be in favor of a lifetime ban if he actually hit him.

and charges

Antonio smith only got suspended 1 regular season game in 2013 when he did this to Richie incognito. Difference was the league has changed, society has changed, it wasn’t on prime time and it didn’t connect.
Think a season ending ban us appropriate. He’s been playing pretty dirty all season so it should probably be longer but the nfl isn’t going to shut down Burfict 2.0 this young in his career while he can still make them money.

If we’re looking at sports precedents, Jaun Marichal smashed Roseboro over the head with a bat, causing a wound that required 14 stitches. Not only did Marichal only get 8 games’ suspension and a $1,750 fine, but he also is now a HOFer.

Got mad at a shitty quarterback and fucked up his career. Dumbass.
-
It did seem like the qb instigated it.
-
He should get the same amount of time as the Rudolph does. If you catch the right video, you'll see that the QB tried to rip Garrett's helmet off first. Garrett simply did what Rudolph couldn't do and when he went after him then he bomped him. 3 games max but he'll get more in todays age

Official statement: “There’s no place for violence in pro football”...
I blew Diet Coke out my nose.
-
Personally I would suspended him for a couple of years plus a big fine of 250-500k

He got what he deserved. The man was obviously defending himself against 3 players. So why punish him for doing it succesfully? It did seem like the qb instigated it.

Rudolph tried twisting his neck then grabbed his balls... both need to go or neither
-
He is on the Browns, how much more punishment does the man deserve?
