Any drone nerds here? Been wanting to purchase one for a few years but refused to spend $2K on what would only be a fun hobby. Just purchased the just released Mavic Mini, extra batteries, case etc for about $US 500. Won’t be in my hands for about 3 weeks ...

Kinda torn between the mavic air and the mavic mini....the air looks like it takes better video but its more expensive. Mini has the newer design but the software/controls has less options. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Then again the weight on the air requires it to be registered...

Dji mavic air 👌🏼 I bought one as my first drone and it’s amazing nearly flys it’s self and takes awesome pics and videos

There are a couple good hobby stores in Mississauga, like hobby hobby for example that could have hooked you up for something a little less expensive. I do drones, helis and planes . Maybe I can help with some questions?

I would love an Air, but it seems like most cities have banned drones. So, not sure when I’d get to fly. Enjoy it, though!

The Mini is 249grams which makes it a ‘toy’ and sneaks under FAA regulations.

NYC has a total ban on drones, although people still fly. They’re not technically illegal to fly here, but the law states you can’t fly over people. So yeah, they’re banned. 😄
