I feel bad and dumb

You are if you can't pass history class.
-
In any other school they would have rounded it up to a 70. That's still a pitiful grade for history class.
-
Is that I don't do homework I'm to cool for that jk it sucks
-
A 69..... At a 69 thats D for me. Wow your school has really low standards. Our school lowered our standards last year a 69 used to be an F but wow i thought my skool was dumb
-
My teacher is an ass hole how assigns home work like crasy
-
Think about. I used to be the same way. Just take 30mins to an hour when you get home from school to do your homework. You won't regret it later in life.
-
Can someone explain the whole thing to me it's different in the uk

Same here. 10 point scale? 90-100 is an A. 89-80 is a B. 79-70 is a C. And 69-65 is a D. The teachers and everyone said it was so GPAs would be higher and more scholarships would be awarded.A 69..... 70 is barely passing i got 69.9
-
How do you get whatever number?
-
So a pass is a C then? Ours is an E but we probably have much stricter grades.
-
Ours go down to g's or f's I'm sure, not 100% cause I'm not down there haha, the only fail we have is u

Let's say you have 10 questions on a test. You take 100, which is the highest grade you can make, and divide by however many problems is on the assignment. In this case 10 so if you missed one question 10 points will be deducted. How do you get whatever number?
-
Do you just get random tests?

I know of two grading scales in the US.
One is: A 100-90 B 89-80 C 79-70 D 69-65 F 64-0The other: A 100-94 B 93-85 C 84-75 D74-70 F69-0

No. We usually take notes and study before we have tests. It's usually 1 week between each test for me.Do you just get random tests?

In the uk in year 10 and 11, the last two years before college, when we are 14-16, we do gcse exams, in USA are your final grades just from that system you just explained?

I'm in year 10. Where I go to school we have 2 semesters with two 9 week periods in each. At the end of each 9 week period all grades that have been recorded are averaged together and you have you final average for that 9 week period. To get semester final average you take the two 9 week period final averages and average them together. The final end of the year average is determined by taking the two semester averages and averaging them together. In the uk in year 10 and 11, the last two years before college, when we are 14-16, we do gcse exams, in USA are your final grades just from that system you just explained?

Anything below a 70 is an F at my school. You know I'm annoyed at my history teacher too cause he gives us loads of giant group projects. Really gets frustrating to have to do a project on something you havnt even learned yet (just started the chapter) but oh well. Not alot I can do. Just deal and try to keep a decent grade. Last time I got a B in the class. 5 A's and 2 B's. All while running x country.
-
I run xcountry to and work so that's prety hard
-
Yes, I MUST take an English, Science, Math, And social studies class. I can choose up to four other electives. I chose three this year. Comp. Health, Marketing, and Gym (mandatory if I'm not taking teamsports, choir, band, theater, etc.) apparently were fat.
-
Marketing takes up two class periods.

It's not complicated really. It can also depend on what school you go to & if it's private or public. You can also get grades for homework or for projects. Tests you know about ahead of time but some teachers give pop quizzes (you don't know about it ahead of time.) It also varies to some degree by state. In TX, you have to take a standardized test & pass in order to graduate. I don't know the name of it now - that was almost 20 years ago for me. To get into college though, you have to take another standardized test called the SAT. 20 years ago there was some 3rd standardized test that you had to take by the time you had 15 hours of college completed, unless you had a high enough score on your SAT to make you exempt. I was exempt so I don't know much about it.In the uk in year 10 and 11, the last two years before college, when we are 14-16, we do gcse exams, in USA are your final grades just from that system you just explained?
