I love this app and I’ve been using it a lot but honestly I see dead turfs around me. They make millions of dollars daily if that, and they are just sitting there. Nobody is using them or anything, and from what I’m guessing, is they the people who owned them have either logged off and never came back on or they forgot about the app and continued on with their lives.
So do the turfs Disappear after a certain time if you don’t touch them? Because if someone forgets about their account is the turf going to just sit there until somebody eventually captures it? Because I know many players who are impossible to take down, who literally take all the spots to claim by airports. These accounts are preventing actual players like me who want to take part in this game from getting anywhere because they forgot or ditched their accounts and now we can’t play.
And does anybody play in Vegas? I see players from out of state but no actual locals. I’d like to make friends with locals who play this.

Those are called Inactives. No they won’t disappear. You can still capture those turf. But, many frown upon It. One, they provide turf value within the area. Two, you can tax those turf and they won’t complain as they are Inactive. Both of those mean higher Income. Others don’t care and will cap. But usually players that go capping Inactives make enemies for the two reasons above.

In addition to what Robot said, inactive turfs can be a good way of collecting loot items for your turf. If you find an inactive player in your area, you can look through their turf list to see if they have any equipped and then cap that turf.

To answer your AP question....make friends with some of the actives who are around airports. Or ask them to open a spot for you. There’s only a handful of turd biscuits left that won’t open an AP spot for you.
