Do you read reviews before you go into a business? Or do you post about your bad experiences? What about good ones?

I use it to lookup near by places but dont put much stock in the reviews.

People lie their asses off in reviews. I’m not much of a complainer. Like if I don’t like something I just don’t buy that thing or but from that place anymore. I’ve written 2 reviews on google. One to complain about a specific McDonald’s that’s 24 hrs but is never open when I go there in the middle of the night before or after work and has the slowest service of any place I’ve ever been. I’ve gotten out of long Walmart lines faster than their drive through doesn’t matter if it’s one car or a line you’re waiting at least 30 minutes if they’re open and I swear I think they throw they’re burgers in the fryer cuz the amount of grease is unimaginable. The other review was for my horribly run, unsafe apartment complex. It really takes a lot for me to complain. I’ve spent several years working in food service/customer service jobs so I avoid throwing any extra negativity at people working those jobs. They get enough shit as it is without me chiming in.

Yes, they can be quite helpful. Obviously you have to weed out the brown-nosers and whiners, but I find it to be a quick way to determine the face-value quality of a business.

Facts can’t satisfy everyone look for the 3-4 stars if you do not the 1s and 5s some are to upset and others are just doing it to please someone 3-4s keep it real and are more honest tawards their experience imo.
