We saw holy grail and the kids were torn between utter confusion and hysterical laughter. We also attempted to watch the life of Brian but that was a bit too much of a Ming melt for them. My wife made me shut it off when my oldest sat horrified and my youngest started singing along to “every sperm is sacred”Blazing saddles or Monty python and the holy grail.
Blazing Saddles is on the to watch list. I’ve already showed them the clip of mongo knocking the horse out and they loved it. -

Honestly I suggest Kung Pow. It's a cult comedy that pokes fun at old king fu movies and has plenty of slapstick humor in it.
If your boys like it or you want to show them something a little more meta, then try Black Dynamite. Just be aware it does have some nudity.
Also, the Naked Gun series, Airplane series, Spaceballs, Shaun of The Dead, and Hot Fuzz are all pretty good comedy cult films that are appropriate for boys around that age.

Every Friday night is movie night for the family. Movie choices are geared towards my two boys who are under 13. We’ve gone through a lot of the traditional classics and a bunch of the newer selections. My kids are HUGE fans of slapstick comedy. It’s getting more and more difficult to find selections we haven’t seen yet. Any help from the studio audience would be greatly appreciated.
Just ask your husband....
