  Still a very sad excuse for small players to play the game. When somone starts the game they want to be the best, the top, most powerful player. And currently that is literally impossible for a new player to achieve.

  There are a zillion ways to play if you’re a new / smaller player.

  Pick a smaller town that has activity and rule it with an iron fist all by yourself.

  Pick a fight with an active player who is the same size and hunt them down.

  Join a larger alliance and learn how to snipe in a V.

  Get turf in all continents.

  Just set a goal and have fun. I always have thought the game is more of a ‘platform’ where players get to determine what their own objective is.

  Very well put. For someone to come into this game and expect to be on level with players that have 8+ years into the game is unrealistic. New players can play at the level of other smaller/newer players and still have a lot of fun.

  Although all of your thought processes sound great and positive, it all comes down to new player retention. Which is clearly dismal.

  Now I realize a lot of us put a lot of time and money into the game, and love to defend it; but the fact here is something needs to change. Maybe if Nick would read the suggestion forum for once in his life, things could be more active.

  It would be nice if Nick would address where the game is going. The recent update is for compatibility with future versions of iOS, all good.

  Is it to make sure the long term players keep forking over a bit of cash or is there a plan to grow the user base.

  Nick, it would be great to hear your thoughts on some forum.

  Is there any chance of making the app into an actual website? I feel that would make it easier to spread to casual PC players. If I could, I would probably play from a PC instead of my phone
