When I was 16 I got a tribal band with my father, then same session I got 3 Chinese symobols. Top right arm is raven that’s goes all the down tied into a big tree that covers whole back of arm, inner bicep is a quote (learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow) outer forearm is my sons name and birthday, cross on inner part of forearm. Then just got a rose in an empty space on right lower part of arm

Cultural appropriation

Full sleeve (left arm). Complete back piece and my daughter's name on my right arm back of forearm

False. I would say much of modern tattoo culture comes from native Hawaiian culture, who influenced tattoo popularity in modern times, but tattoos go back thousands of years before Christ. Multiple cultures, including Polynesians, Egyptians, and Europeans were tattooing 4,000-5,000 years ago.

I’m naked but I’d like to have some ink. For a long time I’ve been wanting a feather behind my ear to represent my native side. I’d also like my dog tags around my neck and a realistic heart on my chest with the Aztec pyramids inside (MAYBE with a warrior looking off to the distance)
But if I add the warrior(s) and don’t put my dog tags, then I’d like to have silhouettes of marines on both sides of the heart weapons drawn. Also I’ve been wanting a quote tattoo but idk if it’s too long for my back. But it’s what I’ve lived by and helped me out during the marines (especially boot camp)
“PAIN IS TEMPORARY
IT MAY LAST FOR A MINUTE
IT MAY LAST FOR A HOUR
OR EVEN A YEAR
BUT EVENTUALLY IT WILL SUBSIDE
IF I QUIT HOWEVER
IT WILL LAST FOREVER”Every time I want to quit something cuz it was too hard or there was slow progress, OR IT ACTUALLY HURT DOING.
I would turn to that quote and push through. -
I never had one..i would never destroy my temple

My past..plenty of earrings. Nose...etc..never a tattoo....always had that chance to have a tattoo..

I think a tattoo has to mean something...I didn’t get that meaning yet..

Partial sleeve Rt arm. Covered head to toe with miscellaneous flash, tribal , biomech etc.. I also have a portrait of my grandfather on my left deltoid. Every single tattoo on my body has some form of meaning to me. They all meant a great deal at the time that they were placed on me. They tell story that means a great deal to me and that's all that matters. To others it's just a bunch of crazy ink and pictures. I'm OK with that. I have had bad tattoos and others that I felt needed altered.-- I have one tattoo of a large naked female barbarian on my rib cage that has absolutely no meaning. The guy told me he would do it for very cheap. I was 19 in college and broke. 🤷🏽♂️ I don't regret it, but it's the only one that I currently have that I probably will at least cover up. My sons like to poke me in the ribs where her nipples or at. My wife finds no humor in this!😂

I didn’t say tattooing itself is cultural appropriation, just the specific tattoos he had. I’m not outraged by it.‡℟ɸɱⱥɲ☧ɭɇɠɩɸɳ‡ wrote:
