Well, sniping is definitely harder than before, as the maps are smaller and you'll have to hardscope for several seconds to accurately hit a guy.
However I find the WA2000 and PSG1 effective.

My favorites so far are the Famas with suppressor and extended mags for normal game types, and Commando with red dot sight and dual mags for hardcore game types. I refuse to even touch the AK47 and the G11, except to do challenges, but that's just me haha.

SMG: MP5K with red dot and silencer.

Shotgun: Stakeout grip

LMG: That HK17 or whatever it's name is with red dot and extended mags

Sniper: The classified one with silencer and variable scope.
