The ABA is having second thoughts, so is Yale.

Either Kavanaugh gets it, or the next republican just like him in line. The Democrats fucked themselves over on this one. If I was a democrat, I’d be praying to my god he gets the job, because they’re going to be under hellfire for what they’ve done if he doesn’t.
I’m also sick and tired of this “guilty until proven innocent” apocalypse going on in our country rn. I wish him good luck. -

Agreed. I’ll say, I’m not 100% caught up with everything, but I did watch the coverage all day the other day, and boy oh boy what a disgrace to America this whole situation has become.ℕapoleon wrote:

America has been a disgrace since the election of Trump. Whether you like him or not hes done nothing wrong, only made the economy stronger and got us better trade deals. Yet, he gets slandered, along with everyone in his party. No other president has ever had this treatment.

I honestly have sympathies for him. Not saying he doesn’t have a toxic ego, but, this dude has actually accomplished a very decent amount of things and hasn’t gotten credit for any of it. Yet, still pushes on.☠ðůナ⌖ʟḁẘ☠ wrote:

Kavanaugh lost his cool. I went into it pretty much blind, but his evidence was shaky at best, bull crap at worst and dubious from a logical standpoint. The evidence in opposition to him is, at the very least, more believable. The fact that she submitted witnesses and is willing to go through an investigation about it and he is not doesn’t look good. On top of that, he quickly blew a fuse. As someone who used to interview potential job candidates and as someone who has worked within the judicial system, he shouldn’t get confirmed because he’s not showing a logical, non-reactionary mindset, nor is he showing respect for the judicial process.

He’s innocent until proven guilty, yes, but we shouldn’t end the investigation because he says he’s innocent or due to the DOJ only allowing a limited investigation. Innocence because of lack of prosecutorial effort isn’t real innocence. It’s the same thing with Bill Clinton, he was not convicted because congress didn’t progress the issue. On top of that, only 10% of his records were released, as opposed to the norm, which is all records.Either Kavanaugh gets it, or the next republican just like him in line. I can’t, in good faith, vote for a legislator who would confirm Kavanaugh. It’s irresponsible. -
ℕapoleon wrote:
And I you, however, she submitted two eyewitnesses that the confirmation board rejected (but they allowed Kavanaugh’s witness, who contradicted both Kavanaugh, the calendar, and Dr. Ford), she submitted to a polygraph (which are imperfect, true, but better than a calendar owned by the defendant that could have been tampered with or entirely fabricated) and openly pushed for an investigation, which he fought. And yes, this must have been really rough for him, but he’s going to have to answer a lot tougher questions on the Supreme Court.billythadon wrote:

Next time I get a speeding ticket I’m going to bring a calendar to court to prove my innocence.🤥😂🤣. I wonder if ink/paper can be dated 🤔.

Innocent until proven guilty applies to law, not to hiring or employment. Much as freedom of speech applies to our right to criticize the government but doesn’t protect inciteful speech.
