Exactly right in terms of making an inhabitable planet. And perhaps there are a bunch of other Earth’s out there, but so far as we know right now, we are the only one.

Turtles are a hoax. They are placed in ponds, wooded areas, and zoos by an alien race to collect information about humans. Obviously they couldnt have evolved on this planet. What other species has a hemispheric shell? But I like tortoises. THEY are cute.
