As some of you know, my wife (Batel for you OG’s) gave birth to a baby girl a year ago.
She loves books. And she has a touch and feel book with barn animals. When I get to the sheep, I always say “Baaaaaaahhh!” And then think of this game and laugh to myself.
Hope all is well TW!

Does she have a kindle yet? Start her young. My older kids(19 & 15) refuse to read on electronic devices. They rather paper or hardback books. Pisses me off. I’ve been reading books electronically since before the kindle or maybe even amazon itself existed. I’ve collected ebooks for a long time. Lost my collection several times and have had to start over again and again but still have an ok collection available for them to read but noooo. They rather go to B&N to get a book.

And wtf is up with the smell??? They both say they like the feel and smell of real books. Feel like punching them in the throat. I can read on my pc, tablets or iPhone and my phone is always with me. No need to carry anything else. I prefer ebooks. Always have since I first started. No matter if m in my office, my living room, on a plane or in a car. I prefer one of my devices over a real book any day.

I get fatigue reading electronic devices, give me a book any day of the week. Sorry D.

I’ve been starring at screens or monitors for prob 30years. Doesn’t bother me.

Actual paper books for life though. Your kids got it right D 😆
I have the option to receive a couple of magazines I’m subscribed to digitally. I still choose to get the print edition. Between my wife and myself we have three floor to ceiling bookshelves full. Trying to make sure we pass that habit to our kids as well.

Ditto, I admit it’s partly a tactile thing , maybe it has something to do with wearing glasses (perhaps my prescription isn’t perfect, plus they’re multi focal. Sucks getting old , but I digress...)I’ve been starring at screens or monitors for prob 30years. Doesn’t bother me.

I’m 42 and yet to wear glasses. Have been 20/20 my whole life but I know it’s coming. I can feel it. My eyes are slower if that makes sense. Slower when things are scrolling by and slower to change focus between things. I can tell.

Digital is the way to go for books, music, movies. No reason to have all that clutter. Not to mention it’s easy to have copies or backups.
