Anyone else get current leakage on their phone when it's charging? I can feel voltage in the casing when i touch it lightly. Feels like it's vibrating. Had this on iPod touch 1st gen as well. Everything still works though which is good!

I had that problem with a particular charger. Switch chargers and was cool
-
It's doing it off my laptop so I'll switch the cables. Gonna check the voltage tommorow out of curiosity. My iPod had 65volts coming through at 50hz!!

Dunno, it gets a little warm from charging then that's it for me.
The tiny Apple cube charger that came with the phone does charge it super fast though. -
LOL 65V 50hz on an iTouch lol

This happened with my 2G iPod touch but not on my iPhone 4.

A quarter of an amp across your heart could kill you. Volts aren't that dangerous. A static shock is around 30,000 volts I believe.Satanium wrote:

A tazer is 50,000 volts just for reference.
-
well then, wouldn't it be funny if your ifoamfour doubled as a tazer?
-
39 volts was leaking on iPhone. I brought a tazer in hamburg which is 750,000 volts (on the box). It cut through metal. It had a warning "may cause severe mental confusion" - thought it was funny cos I'd go f£&kin mental if I got tazered.

You said yourself, no amps. So it wouldn't kill you.lew10ant wrote:

There is ampage (ie .0001 less than multimeter would detect). You can't have volts without current. It won't kill any one unless I sharpen the edges and throw it at someone.

I worked at one restaurant where the kitchen window, or pass, randomly would become electrified. we would get shocked, but inconsistently, and it was difficult to figure the formula. like if you had your left foot off the mat and your other arm was near the pole and you were holding a metal bowl and putting a salad in the right side of the pass you'd get shocked. a lot of food got tossed in the air uncontrolably.
I think tazers would add a delightful twist to dinner service fun.
