For almost two years I spent the majority of my fishing off piers. Finally today I got my license to fish anywhere only to come to the realization that there’s not many places worth fishing in my area OTHER than piers. Piers give me the most activity and the least amount of problems. In two years I’ve lost MAYBE 2 lures and 2 weights. First day on a lake out here. Lost 3 weights, a new sabiki, a new lure, and my god damn line snapped on some underwater tree monster. Go out to the deep ocean water on a boat and it’s just seconds after casting I’m catching 10 pounds after 10 pounds. But I wanna learn more about lake fishing since there’s a few in my area (most are restricted areas and wildlife reserves and have no fishing signs everywhere) but there’s a few good ones.

Nothing better fly fishing for Atlantic salmon and sea trout on the river tweed in Scotland .. peace and some stunning surroundings, all up the river , helps when u live 5 min walk away tho lol
