Fiction or Non Fiction? I’m currently enjoying Walter Isaacson’s biography of Da Vinci.
-
Ficion non fiction anything

If you like sci-fi, Wool by Hugh Howey was an excellent read. Currently reading I Am Watching You by Teresa Driscoll, also very good.
-
I have 3 floor to ceiling bookshelves currently. With no room to spare. For some authors I won’t list titles cause I own up to 10 or more titles written by them. Mostly fiction stuff.
Lee child the jack reacher series.
Stephen king
Michael Crichton
Vince Flynn the Mitch Rapp series
Louis lamour
Stieg larsson (the girl with the dragon tattoo. Books are always better than the movie.)
Clive cussler
Tom Clancy
James RollinsThat’s enough non fiction to keep anyone busy for a long time. Too bad the game isn’t as active as it used to be. A topic like this would’ve garnered lots of great responses in the past.

It’s worthwhile to read some classics that make up the canon of Western Literature ... although originally written in Spanish (hello Vishbume) I’d suggest the English translation of Don Quixote by Cervantes. The novel is hilarious and you’ll read first hand where the expression ‘tilting at windmills’ comes from.

This is of great interest to me and would love to also hear of any non-fiction suggestions that anyone may have.
Have a great day,

One of my favourites is called ‘marching powder’ non fiction. Bout a drug smuggler locked up in Bolivia, about corruption more than anything. Interesting if your into that kind of stuff

The stuff you can do if you got the money while your supposed to be incarcerated is crazy in certain countries.
-

"Empire of Sin"
Its about New Orleans in tge 1880s-1920s. SUCH a good book about jazz, violence, race issues, prostitution, mobs. A good read, non-fiction -

Just some of my favorite fictional authors -
Non Fiction
Two Years before the Mast. Amazing glimpse into pre statehood California and interesting twist of life.Empire of the Summer Moon. Quanah Parker‘s ironic rise to Comanche leader who battles his birth white family.
Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. First person musing with father son trip.
Blue Highways. Back road meanderings and slice of life vignettes. Plus, what author has a cooler name than William Least Heat-Moon.
Desert Solitaire. Edward Abby’s musings as a cranky, no growth beer swilling park ranger.
Fiction
Dandelion Wine. I think Bradbury’s finest. The Fountainhead. Way way better than her more popular Atlas Shrugged.
The Best American Short Stories XXXX year. I prefer the 1990s but gems in each.
Snow Crash. Great read. When you stop and think it was written in infant-Internet 1992 and how much is just as Neal said - mind blown.

I'm starting to get back into reading books. I'm lacking in American novels. The only novels i know are Stephen King books. I'm more into japanese light novels which some are interesting. You want a WW type book. There's one i could recommend called, The Saga of Tanya The Evil. It's war along with magic involved. Mostly weapon magic. Bullets turning into explosive rounds type magic. Not to mention how evil the protagonist is. Yes protagonist.

The last actual reading i did was an elie wiesel book.

Peace like a River, Leif Enger
