Wisdom tooth surgically removed 💉
Forums › General Discussion › Wisdom tooth surgically removed 💉-
So I've just had my wisdom tooth removed as it was sideways and causing issues when flossing and food stuck causing infections. It was pretty traumatic - he just pumped me full of numbing fluid and went to work- he kept saying that he really shouldn't have done it haha... he had to leave two root tips behind as it was wrapped around a nerve then stiched me back up and kicked me out the door. This was by far the worst dentist trip I have been too.. let's hope I have feeling back in my lip and he didn't cut a nerve!
Anyone else have any crazy stories about dental trips? This one will stay with me for a while...

They knocked me out when they had to remove mine. They were sideways and impacted to hell. Woke up and romped my way through the office like a bull since I was so stoned. My wife likes to tell the story.

Sadly I don’t. I’m always the one to make a fool of myself lol. The best part of it was they were pissed off at her for not pinning me down. Mind you at the time I just got back from Afghanistan, so I was in the best shape of my life and a foot taller than her. Like she had a chance lol.

That's true my gf is the same I'm about a foot taller than her and there is no chance she'd be able to hold me down if I were in the same position as you- I can imagine the look they gave her ! Then again if you were witnessing that I'm sure you'd try to find a nice desk to hide under haha! Good story!!

friend of mine woke up saying he was in love with his dentist and kept telling her wanted to see her boobs, this was in back in high school. his mom was really embarrassed. i never had mine removed so can only tell someone elses :(.

That's pretty embarrassing luckily I wasn't that bad! I left my wisdom teeth for over 10 years from when they said I'm 'probably' not going too need it then low and behold it's now causing serious issues - you want to look into that! 👌

The assistant had me in a headlock while the dentist put his knee against my neck trying to get some leverage. Took about 10 hard jerks until it finally cracked.

Took two bags of Versed to put me out. When my mother came back to get me I was spinning around in the chair exclaiming I was “drunk as shit!”

Quick story ... ignored my dental hygienist who is also a friend telling me ‘you should get those wisdom teeth out’. 2 years later all of a sudden had excruciating jaw pain on a Sunday. ... the worst most horrible non ending intense pain. They got infected (gross, sorry). Friend / hygienist had to call dentist off a golf course to prescribe me pain meds so I wouldn’t commit suicide. Next day had 4 teeth pulled under full anesthesia. Moral of the story?
If a professional tells you to remove them even if they don’t hurt, do it.
Full anesthesia is the way to go

Hey welz- make sure you get an oral syringe to rinse those holes out. Food is like a magnet with those things

I remember when I had a lower tooth out years ago (not a wisdom one) and she was yanking it so hard that it smacked my upper tooth and cracked it- have to love the NHS (free healthcare) that's why I go private now but it eats into my wages... worth it though you only get one go with themThe assistant had me in a headlock while the dentist put his knee against my neck trying to get some leverage.
