The answer is...the US will never make its citizens give up guns. Never ever never gonna happen. Basic tenant of the founding of this country and a good reason for the world to think twice about trying to invade even before considering the vast arsenal of weapons at our great country's disposal. This is the thing, liberal reaction dictates that guns are bad! If that is the case why not knives and bats for that matter? The ultimate answer is control. If “they” don’t have guns “they” can be controlled. Thier position also dictates that any issue that is divisive is worth pursuing. Finally under the guise of individual rights, the mentally ill should not be locked up. They should receive treatment while free from confinement. Which on its face sounds good but, depending on the degree of illness could influence the
subject to actually receive less treatment or even none based on the subjects decisions and choices they make! Now mix all this and pour it on the streets. That’s where we are now, but how do we fix it? Blaming inanimate objects is not the waY

Pretty sure the only ones who say "guns are bad" are the NRA nuts claiming the liberals say it lol. What about knives and bats? Uhhhh duhhh liberals think killing people with those are bad too. Sure is hard to kill 59 people from 30+ stories up with a bat tho. No one has to say anything and you guys make yourselves look like stupid irrational gun nuts. Have the conversation, no one wants your guns, they want to be able to have funding to research gun violence and in effect introduce some new legislation that will make these events occur less. You can still have guns in australia but they are registered and you have to have a licence so its controlled you cant just go into a shop and buy a gun just because you can there is strict laws to buy guns so no nutter can just walk in buy a gun and shoot people
