Heading to the German settlement known as "whale's vagina". Anybody local that has some good spots to eat/drink? I'm already planning to hike at Torrey Pines and am hitting up a baseball game. Also gonna see Beck and U2 on Friday. Sound off San Diegans!

Go to that dead end street late night acting like a fool.

Cocktails or beer?
-
What area are you staying in?
-
In Coronado there is Claytons Mexican take out, little hole in the wall but it's the best!
-
Also check out sunset cliffs in ocean beach for a killer view.
-
Staying in North Park, but I'm mobile

Sweet. That’s my hood. For tourist Mexican food, check out Lucha Libre. For local’s #1 pick, go to Colima’s (both in North Park). For great craft beer bars in the area, check out Toronado, Modern Times, Fall Brewing, Tiger Tiger. You could honestly do a huge beer tour on foot just cruising down 30th street. For divey cocktails and live music, Bar Pink. For fancy cocktails, Seven Grand. Other great Mexican spots: Ponce’s in Normal Heights (strong margaritas!), Cantina Mayahuel in Normal Heights (tequila bar, good tacos), Lolita’s (taco shop). More fancy cocktails- Polite Provisions.Staying in North Park, but I'm mobile

I’d suggest hitting up Lolitas when you’re at the ballpark.
Do you have kids? Where are you from?
If you wanna go to the beach, my guide is this:
Pacific Beach- college age douche crowd at night (daytime is okay)Ocean Beach- laidback, hippie crowd, lots of homeless, if that bothers you.
Mission Beach- good beach, but super busy and touristy. Near Belmont PArk (good for kids and the young at heart)
Coronado- busy, touristy, but the town is cute and quaint and good for walking around and exploring
Silver Strand- my go to beach. Not nearly the big crowds, underrated. There’s nothing else around, so this is specifically if you’re going to the beach the GO to the beach. Also has the bay just on the other side of the highway (5 minute walk through a tunnel) where the water is calmer and warmer. Good for paddle boarding, bonfires.

Breakfast spots in the area - Snooze in Hillcrest is my favorite, but get there early or be prepared to wait (don’t bother on the weekend), Breakfast Republic in North Park, people might recommend Hash House in Hillcrest, but it’s overrated. Food is whatever, but the portions are enormous. Crack Shack in Little Italy is supposed to be really good. I haven’t made it there yet.
Oh man, for Italian food- Monello or Bencotto in Little Italy.
Thai - Amarin in Hillcrest is a favorite.
Sadly we don’t have really good Chinese.
Sandwich spots - Ike’s Place, Rubicon
Dessert spots - Extraordinary Desserts, Pappalecco if you like gelato, if you go to Ocean Beach (OB) hit up Lighthouse Ice Cream (cash only). If you go to Coronado, Mootown Ice Cream, look for Elvis and a big cow.

It’s really uber/lyft friendly. Everyone seems to be a driver, so definitely consider that if you’re going out drinking.
-
Damn Bella. That should cover everything. Just buzzed past Modern Times, so will def hit that up. Heading to Lucha Libre now. Thanks for all the info! If you are out and about, message me for a beer on me!

Nice! If you’re into massages, I can recommend a good place...that I work at. ;)

IB is my hometown I love it but it's not really a tourist spot😂😂

No, I didn’t forget it. I left it out. Just as I chose to leave out La Jolla and all the north county beaches.
