Hybrid Theory was the first album that I listened all the through. My kids ask to listen to Linkin Park most mornings on the way to school as well. Chester just had that voice and range that only comes around once in a while. So sad to see an iconic vocalist of his time have to go so young.

Sad news. Kinda stupid and childish to go out like that imo. Suicide=Permanent solution for a temporary problem.

Anybody that can kill them selves has mental issues and therefore probably not thinking of their children, or on the contrary think it would be better for them if he wasn't around. Either way he thought the after life was his only choice and I for one feel sorry for him and his family. R.I.P

That's the biggest part of suicide that has always mystified me. Like how are you not thinking about your kids when you're making that final decision. But it just goes to show no one can ever understand someone's mental anguish. Robin Williams has always been a big example to me of this. A man who seemingly had everything in the world and seemed by nature a happy person. And who's success and career was built around making others happy, still wasn't happy himself. Success, money, general adoration from his fans. I met him randomly in Las Vegas inside the bellagio 12 years ago. He was super nice and very amicable with people that recognized him. Still chose his way out.

Just goes to show mental illness is truly an illness and should be treated as such. Seek help. Talk to someone.
