I don't know much about cars, but I do know that 1969 Dodge Charger and efficient do not go together. Get the biggest, loudest, gas guzzling beast of an engine you can stuff under the hood, a pair of fuzzy dice for the rear view, and big pink bubble letter decals spelling out Pussy Wagon for the rear glass. A nice 440 would do just as well if you kno what your doing and if you put the right rear gear in it plus you need to kno how to set it up correctly or your just spinning your wheels

Why the 540? Are you set on only either one of those? A 350 would give you more smiles per miles while a 440 or a 540 will make you wet your pants. Whatever you decide it'll be badass because it's in a chrger😉

The 383 is a touch more versatile than the 340 or 360( if you put a 350 in a mopar and you should be hanged, shot, drawn and quartered and the remaining pieces burned). The 440 is nice but a bit limiting on rebuilds. Personal experience the two best mopar motors are the 383 and 340, bit everyone has their opinions.
