I just saw an old post from the One Thumbed Bastard and remembered some fun in the Forums. As I recall OTB started up the Bank.

The Bank you see had taken it upon themselves to ensure that there was a relative relationship between the size of ones mob and their influence. As I recall they would permit a ratio of 3 influence per mobster. So a player with 10,000 mob would be permitted to maintain an influence of 30,000.

If you exceeded the 3 to 1 ratio, then they would forclose on the excess turf until such time as you either reduced influence to an acceptable level or increased mob size to cover the influence you maintained.

OTB was a generous Bank Manager in that he would post a foreclosure notice on your wall as he and the sheriffs hopped to the offending area to seize the excess turf.

The Bank was closed down when the market was opened up and competitors allowed much greater influence to mob ratios by protecting smaller players who built them turf flowers.

Ahh Vishbume the poet of the forums. One of the most eloquent posters. For those that are interested in reading some of his works the Garter down in the Vendetta forum was a place we used to find him imbibing a drink with loose lips Annie.

Speaking of eloquent it was not so much what Freemason said as opposed to what he could elicit from other players that was so entertaining. Freemason had a particular penchant for racists and homophobes that he would try to educate.
