I have recently been fighting with suicide. A friend of a friend has taken his own life and I want so desperately to help heal and comfort my bud. I can assure you I am not the most qualified nor is my bed side manner brilliant. But what I can say for certain is that our long conversations over tea and chocolate covered cones has benefited us both. Somehow we have been able to teach each other stuff that I would have remained an ignorant fool otherwise. It was difficult at first I admit. Who wants to take about something that hurts so much? With that said, if you are in any way involved with this terrible heartbreaking subject, weather directly or indirectly, will you please DM me if you want to vent or talk? I want to help if I am able. I would relish the opportunity to talk to anyone who's heart is crying from this pain. And you know what... There are countless other players on this crazy game who would love to talk to you as well! Friend or foe please message me. I will drop whatever I am doing!

It takes alot to put this here. Its awesome to have a good friend at your side to help you out. Sometimes thats is all it takes, for someone to just listen or open up to turn things around for someone. Much luck to your friend my brotha. You are a righteous person.

I agree. Suicide is never an easy thing to confront, especially when it takes the life of a person you may be closer to than your family. I’d also like to be of help to anyone that to go through a situation of this kind. No qualification of any sort either, but chatting always helps.🖤

This is a great thing that you have done. I have also been in this situation. It is very hard to talk to the person, but after many, many hours, thankfully I had gotten through. I commend you for all your efforts. As I normally play a character in this game, I use it as a break from reality. The reality is though, this is a serious issue and affects many more than anyone knows. If anyone every needs an ear to listen, I will gladly do my part to help in any way.

But if I break my arm, I'm not going to post 'how do I fix my arm?' on TW. I'm going to a doctor.
My point is that mental health issues are nothing to be embarrassed about. Like any other illness be it physical or mental, there are professionals who are trained to help.
If you or someone you know is suffering from depression / suicidal thoughts, find a professional therapist who knows how to work through the issue.

It's a really difficult subject for lots of people, and I'm sorry for stirring up the normies here. But I don't think people suffer from suicidal thoughts. They suffer from whatever it is that makes life painful enough that it isn't worth living anymore. If anything, piling on guilt to their pain probably makes it worse.
We don't tell our dogs: "Sorry, I know you are in a lot of pain... But I'm going to be too sad to euthanize you, so suck it up." Well, dogs are people, too.
I respect the choice, and the right to make it. I can feel loss and pain when it happens, but I won't diminish the gravity of the situation and the pain that caused it by suggesting that it was a wrong choice, they were too weak, it was a mistake, what an idiot. Even if it was frivolous, I respect it.
I'm sorry for being so blunt, but get tired of always keeping my mouth shut when suicide happens and we all moan and wail like suicide was to blame for the suicide. I know some people don't really understand, but f-it.

Personally, I don't see much difference between people and dogs. We both matter just the same in this existence.
Just because someone wants to die, (or we choose for them at the hospital), doesn't mean they "don't matter enough".
You haven't haven't hurt enough to make death a better deal. Congratulations. But those that do, I won't judge them.
