If freedom of speech includes flag burning it definitely includes chap saying deport them. Or me saying they can go to hell, or any other American telling them to get the f outUh, what?

Actually not, if that "any other American" is a representative of the government, it is a perfect example of a violation of the constitutional right of free speech.jimmy💔big-balls wrote:

I'm totally against it, it should be a crime. Just as yelling fire in a crowded theater or making terroristic threats is a crime. Freedom of speech has its limits.

These are terrible examples in relation to flag burning. Freedom of speech is limited when it causes a clear and present danger to others. Burning your own property whether it be a flag, bible, or pile of junk is your choice. As long as it's done in a safe way that follows laws for safe burning.I'm totally against it, it should be a crime. Just as yelling fire in a crowded theater or making terroristic threats is a crime. The symbol of freedom is not more important than the actual freedom.

Flags are actually supposed to be burned if they are damaged in any way or if they touch the ground.
Granted, it's to be done ceremonially.
That said, burning it in protest does annoy me but like others have said, under constitutional law, if you own it you're allowed to burn it in protest.
