Hey how can I tell if a player is inactive?

Look at dates. Under their name shows when they began. A level 30 that started in 2011 is probably inactive. You can also look at dates on their turf. Check dates for recent activity. You can also look at win/loss. More experienced players may have more to add.

Check and see if their mission run total changes over a period of time ( several days ).
Check and see if their weapons change or the totals change over a period of time.

Open the player in questions profile. Under the turf heading tap the "tap here" button. Scroll to the last turf (on the last page). Tap on that turf and check the creation date. That should give you a pretty good indication.
