I SCRATCHED MY FALLOUT NEW VEGAS DISC
Forums › General Discussion › I SCRATCHED MY FALLOUT NEW VEGAS DISC-
So I was just sitting there playing shitty fallout 4 and I was like "hey I'm gonna play fallout new Vegas" and so I go to get it and I find my dog pawing the disc. He left the biggest mark on it and it won't work. What should I do

Toothpaste is a mild abrasive that can smooth and polish plastic. It has nothing to do with leaving it on overnight. Your disc was fixed when you smeared it on and cleaned it off.〓K Я A M P U S〓 wrote:

Fallout New Vegas=Best Fallout ever. Ya fam you should just get another one, but fallout 4 is still pretty good. They go for like 10$ at GameStop.

I've still got DLC from FO3 to finish.
Last time I had a scratched Xbox disc, I did some research and found out that some gamestops and independent game buy/resell shops have a some sort of repair/resurfacing machine that'll give you the best chance of fixing the disk. This machine is pro grade....no manual winding or Colgate involved.
Anyhow, I went to gamestop and asked about it and their response (translated for brevity) was "we don't know you, fuck off". Could have tried other gamestops but instead I went straight to an independent record store that also bought and sold Xbox games. They had this pro disc repair machine and I told em my problem. They put the disc in the machine for 6 minutes and charged me 12 dollars.
Disc was good as new. -

Damn, over here we have the disc repair towers in all the game shops. Grainger charge £1 a disc and GAME do 3 for a £5.I've still got DLC from FO3 to finish.

Walmart sells the "pro grade" disk repair kits for around $10

The only copy I own is 14, and the servers have been offline for awhile. A friend of mine said he'd sell me his copy of 16, so once I get that I'll be online for sure. Feel free to add me on psn, name is fuegobud.Delicate wrote:

Well in my defense I was following instructions I found on yahoo answers. And as we all know, anything posted on the Internet must be true, otherwise they would get in trouble with the NAACP for plagiarism.Delicate wrote:

Just an fyi...
Instead of pro-grade I should have said commercial grade. The kind that's not sold in Walmart. -

Yes it really does help to fix minor scratches. Been doing it since I was a teenager.
