What does the Real time news feature do? Just wondering because I've heard a few people talking about it.

It gives you notifications a little faster. With real time news, notifications go straight from the Turf Wars server to your device. Whereas without real time, notifications go from the turf wars server, to apples servers, to your device. Also, real time news gives you access to the chat function.

Still a bit buggy for active combat uses, but a great improvement for casual players.

Biggest benefit is a much more complete history of news events.

On old news if I attacked you 75 times you'd see 75 individual line items, one per attack. You'd lose direct access to any prior events.

The real time groups repeated events, so 75 consecutive attacks is just one line item. That also leaves other grouped events like turf captures or attacks by other players on the news screen for you to still see, plus any other events like a capo, message or watchlist event stay visible a lot longer.

THAT is a huge improvement!

Hopefully the active combat issues get worked out.

Update to TW v2.74 and onwards. Then go to Settings> Turf Wars> Real Time News and switch it on.
