I think they'll let anyone have a drivers license. Most are apparently told motorcycles are worth points if you actual hit them. Almost pulled my gun while riding today😬...

To be perfectly frank, a lot of the bikers I see ride with no regard for their own lives or those of other people. It's hard to avoid cutting you off when you're doubling the speed limit and weaving across the lanes like they don't exist. Are motorists generally assholes? Yea, but so are bikers.

Why are you cutting someone off doing double the speed limit? That means your doing more than double.

There are riders that are idiots and disregard the rules just like car drivers. However I am more susceptible to great bodily harm from someone trying to hit me when they are driving a car and there are a much greater number of cars. No excuse hitting someone with a vehicle.

You can change lanes going the speed limit and cut someone off doing double. Maybe you don't understand what cutting off means.

You can change lanes going the speed limit and cut someone off doing double. Maybe you don't understand what cutting off means.

The worst around here are out of state drivers who don't get that lane splitting is not only legal but recommend for riders safety.

I don't split lanes myself. I consider that cutting. It's legal here too but a moral consideration for me. Why do you consider it safer?

My boy just put his down yesterday guy pulled out in front of him. Little road rash and the bike is a little scuffed up but he wasn't going very fast. As far as splitting lanes the ogre I ride isn't the best thing to do it with id rip the bags off of it.

Interesting study. I agree that when in congested traffic I ride on the line taking me out of direct impact zone but I still don't split (ride between lanes while passing anyone). Not sure if they used correct data markers for that study.

When I worked at the Department of Safety, we used to hear all the time about how "cagers" caused all the bike crashes. Did our own study and found that more than half of motorcycle crashes were single vehicle. I saw too many grisly things to ever ride one though.
