Using cash to pay for police protection does not work
Forums › General Discussion › Using cash to pay for police protection does not work-
So, my protection ended last night and I was bored. So, I decided to actually use in-game cash to pay for it. About halfway through my list I was thinking I should have used don points! But, I persevered and double checked that all in the list were paid. This morning, guess what- my relations with the police are hostile. Does this actually work for anyone?

News flash: IT DOES INDEED WORK.
Now, a question of if it's worth it? No, it's not worth it.
Why specifically? It's temporary. Your relationship with the police decreases as you run missions, making you pay about as much money as you would earn from running the missions anyways.Closing statement: call Tom.
-
How do you know it works? It's not temporary , you pay for 7 days protection.
-
It pays for 7 days if you don't tamper with it by running missions. It's like RL dealing: pay yourself out of a jam but if another offense comes up there's a separate bill for that one. I've tested it before myself just to see if I could save a bit of DP.

It does work. You can still get busted in missions but you don't pay on your turf
-
So, this info is from your own experimentation, not actual documentation?
-
Yes, my own methodical process.
-
Yes , it seems that documentation of this is rather sparse, thanks for the effort.
-
It only keeps you from paying protection on your turf, it does not help with missions at all, I've been busted on my first mission after paying.
-
You're quite welcome Derelict.
-
It's still good to pay the protection so you get all your $ every hour
-
The cost of buying the protection for 7 days pays for itself many times over in terms of saved police protection money, but yep you still get busted doing missions.
