Unplugging from the Matrix

I used to be so wrapped in this game. Emotionally invested to the point that when things were going south it started to cause problems in real life. (fighting with gf, turfing and driving, healing while out to dinner, etc)
After retiring and breaking the attachment to turfs and capos, I can sit back and watch emotionally uninvested.
Watching the forum bitching between Mr. Pancamo and everyone else reminds me of the end of LAW when everything was collapsing around me. It blew like a whore at the end of the month when rent is due. Years later the cycle is still repeating.
It feels good to be free.

long as you have an account here you're not free
you just advertised yourself the same as I have just done -
Not true, I'm sure a few of my fans will hit me after seeing this. The difference between being free and not is simple.
Before freedom: Id curse, bring up truces being violated, and somehow try to use logic to explain why getting 20-30 turf taken at one time is a piece of shit bully move.
After freedom: Lolz
I don't mob up, I don't collect capos, I'm not in a war, I don't log in daily, I have no crew to manage, no "first turf" to protect. I'm as free as a smile at McDonald's

I will admit though, there's still people that if they were on fire, I wouldn't piss on them to put them out. So if that's what you're suggesting, you're right. But I'm not losing any sleep over my turf. It's been YEARS

That sounds crazy. Glad to hear your not literally altering your life for the game anymore.

Long live our fearless leader 🔨🔥💀!
The only way you can keep on playing this game and having some fun is to never take it too seriously. -
