Positive energy Me PLEASE
Forums › General Discussion › Positive energy Me PLEASE-
I'm not to into religion for prayers. But last night my grandfather 80 years of age commit suicide. I haven't really experienced life as much as he did but it puzzles me why someone of his age would commit suicide. He fell into a deep depression after a family conversation on the state of our family and people over all. I'm just asking for all your positive vibes and energy. This has devastated my mother and family. Thank you guys all.

i dont think its all bad. we(me from personal experience) tend to be selfish and want our loved ones to live as long as possible but its not always their wishes. my grandmother passed at 98 but she was easily ready to go for 20 years. she had 9 children and watched 8 of them pass away. she out lived her kids. it was a miserable existence. no one should have to see their kids pass. thats not to mention all the other shit she had seen being born in 1910.

i know losing a family member is tough, no matter the circumstances, but we can never really know the pain they are in and some wounds cant be healed. i believe she is better off and i really hope that you and your family can find the positive side even if its really hard to see right now.

A completed suicide in a family, increases the chances of further suicide attempts, as it has now normalised the act... take the opertunaty to talk as a family. The signs are usually there, seek professional assistance if needed. My thoughts are with you and your family...

I honestly can say I wasn't looking at it like that but his choice was very violent which made me wonder what was actually going on. But now I'll never know. But I guess I can bank on him being happy with his choice and not feeling a thing anymorei dont think its all bad. we(me from personal experience) tend to be selfish and want our loved ones to live as long as possible but its not always their wishes. my grandmother passed at 98 but she was easily ready to go for 20 years. she had 9 children and watched 8 of them pass away. she out lived her kids. it was a miserable existence. no one should have to see their kids pass. thats not to mention all the other shit she had seen being born in 1910.

So sorry. Suicide can never be explained fully. Just be in the love that you had for your grandpa & he for you, and when the questions start go back to the love. Sending you peace and space.

i agree with groggg, focus on the positive and good memories and know that whatever emotional pain and suffering he was going through is over. good memories, no more pain. keep them alive, share the good memories with family and friends.
