Hey guys new to tf and just wanted to know what is hoping and how to do it ?

Hoping is one of the main concepts of the game on how to travel to new places. The concept is putting one turf in front of Eachother in the direction of your destination until you reach it. If you run into your turf limit remove all turfs except the head turf that's in front and keep moving forward. This is the main concept of travel in this game

Hopping* and its best next time you have questions put it in the help forum. This forum is just for random things and such

I read something in the help forum abut leapfrogging.. I can't build 64 influence or 84 influence turf.

Hopping is a more popular term, it's called leapfrogging sometimes because of putting on turf in front of the other. You can hop with any influence but the most common are hopping with 75 inf, 66 inf (for new people) and 86 influence

Use whatever your max inf per turf is to hop. It takes longer to do at lower levels but you will get to where you are hopping. Just don't get discouraged and keep at it.

No tricks it's simple just build on the outside radius of your turfs and keep goi g foward

And remember,some people have hopped thousands of miles to get somewhere.I'm about to start one in a couple weeks.

One "trick" would be to add loot to your turf, that gives you a larger hop radius (distance). But just make sure to unequip the loot before tearing down.
