Hey guys,

I'm a polymer science & engineering student at USM. I recently launched a website called "FoodMyLife.com" that allows the students of USM to discover the most affordable restaurants close to the university. I hope to gather sponsors from the local restaurants to fund the program further.

I'm curious what kind of program or business you think would work well on a college campus. Ideas?

I ran one in high school but had to give it up because all the teachers worked for me and the board found out. 😁

Yeah. My thoughts too. Maybe try making something that helps faculty and staff find hookers.

I thought about those sites as well. My target audience would only be the students of USM, so it would never be as big as websites like Yelp. It's solely for the university. You're right, though.

Facebook started out solely for just one campus. It did ok.

What about an app that you verify your dorm number then you can notify all those with the app that there's a party at your dorm. Be kinda like a tool to find parties ig

Yeah, that aspect wouldn't be too interesting. But it would be a good way to find a party fast or get people to your party fast if a lot of people in your college used it.

What about an app that compares grocery prices. So say for example I could input my grocery list and it would compare prices and list the cheapest stores. I hate flyer coupon shopping so this would be a viable alternative for those wanting to save money but not wanting to spend hours comparing prices.

How about a note-sharing app? Or better yet, a place where you could sell all your cheats and notes to incoming students. Thus decreasing the level of integrity and aptitude of future generations.

They already have websites for that. Not sure putting it in an app form makes it any different. :(

I wish there was an app for calling a taxi after drinking too much at the bar. Or even just a person I could pay to drive me home. Yeah that would be nice.
