Saw an interesting infograph today that was briefly highlighting how millenials (born 1980-2000) have surpassed baby boomers as the largest generation and how they are beginning to affect the economy. Going beyond the waiting longer to get married or have kids that's been happening for awhile now, the author pointed to things like not moving out of parents' house, social media use, renting longer instead of buying, uber and sharing passwords to subscriptions (wifi, Netflix, etc.) to suggest that the economy as a whole has already begun a significant overhaul and called it a sharing economy.

Thoughts?

Call it "Expaning efficiencies in monetization out of greed and/or desperation".

There is no "sharing" in this sharing economy. Only selling under-utilized resources to make more money. (Stealing Internet and Netflix is not an economy.)

The cool thing is that people think they are going full commie when calling Uber, when really you are creating classes of poor drivers and rich classes of exploitive corporate owners JUST LIKE CAPITALISM.

I'd say it's just more advanced marketing to the entitled green class so they consume in the real world while letting their feelies and believies stay "pure".
