Is there a reason so many people play turf wars so much? Not being critical just wondering or is it just addictive. So many people have been playing it for years and a lot. Are people making money off this? Is there something I am not in on? A hidden payoff?

Because it's not just a game, it's a community. If the forums didn't exist & I was playing against bots rather than any real people, I'm not sure I'd still be playing.

There's just something special about TW too. I've played other games with forums in the past, but it just wasn't the same. There's just some kind of magical combination of game, people, & forums on TW.

At first it was the accomplishment factor. Yes they were just circles on a map, but I could have the most circles in my town, surrounding towns, etc. Then when airports were first announced it was about hopping 250 miles to DFW in hopes that it would get an airport sooner than later. Then, when I finally could play on a national and international level, it was about the community and people I fought with and against. Still just circles on a map, but there's a lot more beneath them than meets the eye.
