I hereby claim bakersfield as desert rain territory. I don't have capo yet but give me a few. I'm going to hole up here a day or so to organize my route north and establish a base of operations.

The door to the east is open.
It just does not fit our immediate plans. There is no "fear" factor on our side.

I love Desert Rain in October, it cools things off but doesn't really do much else...
