Its actually really surprising this game is still going on, considering its rise in popularity came with the new players who never punched and played super casually. I left the game ages ago, but after seeing one of my irl friends playing again I couldn't let him outshine me. Just wanted to post on the forums to let people know that at least some prior players are returning to the scenes. :)

No, it's not surprising at all. If you are referring to the noob flood, plenty of those players stayed, play more than casually, & have anywhere from decent to large mobs.

We've actually been having players return, many of whom started playing way before you.

Making a thread insulting TW isn't the best way to return. Maybe you didn't mean it as an insult, but that's how it sounds to me anyway.

Considering the way the game is, it's surprising, because of the way it's gps based and requires a signal, not trying to insult the game just commenting on the genre. Also I was referring locally to in and around my area and the flood of people who had started the game and didn't want to invest any time in it at all to continue. Sorry if it sounded insulting, it's not how I wanted to convey my point.

The GPS aspect is the thing that makes it so unique & compelling.

I understand what you meant now about just looking locally. It doesn't sound insulting to me anymore. Thanks for clarifying and welcome back!

I came back because of the GPS aspect of the game.

I was originally 2011, under a different name.

I think it's rose in popularity extends from its free to play status that is actually true. So many games require payment to progress but this game it really is an even playing field. (Although I hate airports)

Should be *rise* in popularity not rose.

Also, things like geocaching have become quite popular, and now they're even making a GPS based Pokémon game.

GPS is clearly making a big comeback into the app market.
