Do any of you have felonies?

What is your experience with trying to find jobs with felonies. I was dumb as fuck teenager. But mine are at least 7 years old now. I live in Texas and it's kinda hard out there short of just lying. I do food service management stuff. You?

No felonies but is it possible for you to get a pardon?
I would be looking for a private trade company if I did have a rap sheet, carpentry, plumbing, landscaping, they care more about work ethic than they do your resumé.
Any friends who own a company? Would be a good start -
No, as I'm getting older more opportunities at becoming available. But nowhere close as to what it would be at 27 if I hadn't been so dumb at 18/19. Getting a job is easy. It's getting a decent job doing what I love and am good at that's hard. And I don't think I can get a pardon. But if I pay a lawyer a lot of money I think I can get it expunged or whatever.

Almost got a felony but thanks to an expensive lawyer I kept it off my record.

From Texas and had 6 felonies. Granted it's been 18 years ago, but it's possible. You need to learn a trade. Welding pays great and nobody cares on a pipeline or drilling rig if you have a felony. Oilfield work doesn't care. You're looking at a labor job now, but you can make 2x what a college degree makes with zero debt. It's very possible.

Go to barber school.

I got a 2nd degree felony when I was 16.
I have never had a problem getting a job. If it every came up I just explained it and everyone was fine. Most of the time I would bring it up before I got a background check and explain it so they wouldn't freak if it did show up.
I have NEVER not received an employment offer when I applied. -
No felony here. Shit, you can't own a gun legally, nor can you become president. Life's over, man... Keep punching!

Just start your own buisness . All the cool kids are doing it.

I mean i suppose it depends on the state and the crime. At 17 you can be charged as an adult in some places for some things like here. Shit I think some things you can be tried as an adult at even 16. But unless you're tried as an adult for something under 18, I'm pretty sure it gets sealed or something resembling a clean slate when you turn 18.🔰ਸᏧᏧ ℜⱥ༏Ҡℴ ц🔰 wrote:

Iv had multiple felonys...some states clear off after so many years. Mine was clear after ten years but they still show up on a FBI background check which most employers don't use. Just do a trial run on it in the state your in and apply for it yourself to see what shows up. You should be able to just do it online.
