Starbucks red cups
Forums › General Discussion › Starbucks red cups-
Is this really what people are worrying about on the Internet? That the cups are not a Christmas design? That Starbucks somehow hate Christmas?
-
You wouldn't understand
-
It is not that they are against Christmas. Or they would not change there cup in the first place!! It is that not all their customers observer the holiday. So rather then offed and loose millions they just go red !! Easy solution to a stupid problem!! IMO

I'm a Christian. I have many Christian friends. I haven't heard a complaint out of one person that I know anywhere. Not on Facebook or in person. I think this is getting blown out of proportion by the media.
Anyone that is offended is ridiculous

I'm offended. I think it should've been plain green instead. It's a much more soothing color.
-
I'm offended that some people are offended by a cup being my favorite color.

Excuse me. Read the following and explain how this is one guy with a blog.
--
“Did you read about Starbucks?” Trump asked a crowd in Springfield, Illinois on Monday night. “No more ‘Merry Christmas’ at Starbucks.” The crowd booed. “I have one of the most successful Starbucks, in Trump Tower. Maybe we should boycott Starbucks? I don’t know. Seriously, I don’t care. That’s the end of that lease, but who cares?” he added.
--
I know there is a significant push by the media to report on this, but just like every year, right wing radio is all over the war on Christmas and millions of parrots are hoppin' mad on Starbucks right now. I don't believe this to be a tiny movement. This is big shit. Stand by your base. Be outraged because corporations aren't saying Merry Xmas any more. Don't puss out. -
It's funny how stupid it escalated to that STARBUCKS HATE JESUS or something. The cups just now represent the holidays, not just Christmas. Is it that horrible that Starbucks change a cup's color?
-
I'll give you something personal to help bring the mob together. Gather the pitch forks.

Screw Christmas. It should go away. Like most Christian holidays, it's just a substitute for "pagan" rituals in order to subvert other cultures. It was NEVER a real Christian sentiment to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Even at the core it's a lie. And now we are all pissed that a profit (non-prophet heh) oriented company found out that there's more money in not participating in the further commercialization of a bullshit lie of a holiday because urban folk are more secular.
Would I feel like this in other western societies that celebrate some mild form of Christmas? I can't say. But here in the US, Christmas is, and has been for the last century, a commercial holiday, rotten and evil to the core. War on Christmas? Hell yes. That's what this place needs. I believe I'll spend my money in places that don't push the worst of American culture in my face when I buy my sundries. Nyaa.

We should have prayer in public schools. Abortion should be illegal. Gays should be re-educated. And Starbucks better f-in openly endorse the baby J. Them minorities can just suck it up and go along. This is a Christian country. But it's all slipping away for them. And they are angry about that.
Of course "they" refers to those that would be angry at the cups...

They are red cups & that represents communism which is responsible for near 100 million deaths.
So it should offend everyone.
😜 -
Let's get to the real issue here. I am offended that people will pay $4, $5, $6 for a cup of coffee. I hate coffee! There I said it. Let the hate begin. All I can say is I like Diet Coke, I like X-mas for the family time and no one takes my guns from me! Oh and Cats rule! 🐈🐈🐈. 👍🐢
-
I hate coca cola, they made father christmas change his suit from green to red, im mean, who bullies santa......
-
I think this is a stupid controversial topic. Like, why do people care so much about what Starbucks does with their cups 😂😂 in the end it doesn't matter.
-
That idiot preacher with the red hat who is always mad is the only one I've seen complaining.

I'm amazed at what an uproar this is causing. This isn't the first step in this direction that our nation has taken. Everywhere now has signs of "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas". Whether we like it or not we have a lot of people who are NOT Christian living amongst us. That's just the truth. Corporations have realized this and are adapting to suit ALL their clients as best they can in order to be as profitable as they can. No body is saying "happy holidays except for Christians I hope your Christmas sucks" ya know ? They're still wishing you a happy holiday. They're still celebrating your holiday with you. The only difference is that they also celebrate other cultures holidays with them and us Christians, as we all know, don't like to share. Ultimately, trying to "preserve" this country for Christianity is an up-hill battle that no one is ever going to win. The world is a growing and changing and learning organism. You might as well grow and change and learn with it.
-
I'm Christian myself, however I thank the Lord everyday that our ancestors fought against the ideas of Christianity and we don't marry off our girls before their 16 or think all the planets revolve around our flat rock. Maybe an extreme example but even the Internet was called an act of Satan when is was first introduced to the world and here we are talking about this through the Internet. So we all have already done what Starbucks did. We saw something that could apply to the whole world (the Internet/ Starbucks cups) Christians fought against it (Internet is a work of Satan/ Starbucks hates jesus) and ultimately the Christians lost (here we all are using the Internet/ Starbucks is still going to make a fortune, probably even more now because of all this free press they're getting) so why fight a battle were going to lose and stunt the growth of the world? The more we accept, the more we adapt, the faster the world is going to grow and I know I'm personally very excited to see where it's going.

I celebrate the solstice, not Christmas. I don't beleive in the bible. Starbucks sucks, whether they're red, green, or whatever color their cups are. I don't own a TV. I like Flagpole Sitta by Harvey Danger.
How many people have I offended?

This red cup campaigne is making Starbucks millions and not costing them one red cent👊🏻 genius if you ask me
