Recently my motherboard was fried so I had a new one ordered and when I installed it everything ran on the PC, fans where whirling and it was making noises and stuff but my monitor reads no signal, I've tried almost everything
-
Try another video card
-
Is the replacement motherboard the same brand and model as the old?
-
Did you plug in your monitor?
-
Have you tried turning it off and on again?

I would only reccomend Mac depending on the primary usage.

I would personally build one, hackintosh it, install Linux on different partition and set it up as a triple-boot. Although it's a cheaper route, it can become a headache quickly. If money isn't an issue Mac is imo easier to triple-boot with the help of boot camp since you wouldn't have to worry too much about drivers. So my bottom line suggestion would be: if you're tech savvy: pc build. If you're not: mac

False. If you are an aspiring Best Buy employee that doesn't mind bending a few laws and doesn't care about stability, go PC. If you are a serious tech savvy engineering or scientific type, Mac. It's all about perspective. 🖕🏻I would personally build one, hackintosh it, install Linux on different partition and set it up as a triple-boot. Nothing. You must get 3 computers, 1 with each operating system. Sorry I wish all 3 could be switched between on one awesome computer. But sadly that just isn't true. 😕The Right Hand wrote:

Just use a hdd Switch...
But i cant take ppl serious if they say "i need Mac". There is nothing a mac can do better.

No, really it is. The only reason the Mac is the correct choice is because it's a violation of the EULA to install MacOS on anything but Mac hardware. Mac hardware runs Windows and Linux just fine.★★BЯOШИИOTΞ★★ wrote:

Try banging the top. If that don't work switch it on and off then bang harder

Wait, so I'm false for what "I would personally do" and then you say "it's all about perspective". Like I said in my other comment, it depends on the primary use. If someone is using it for work then yes a pc build would have constant stability issues and a Mac would be a better choice. Furthermore you asked me a question and I gave my opinion on it. No need to go all tech snob on me.The Right Hand wrote:

Is your cooling system fine or not strong enough?

You are the tech snob when you suggest PC builds are for tech savvy folks, and if you aren't, go Mac. It's the same argument I hear from fandroids. Bull. False. The more "tech savvy" among us wouldn't build a PC at all because they value supportable architecture and quality. -
★★BЯOШИИOTΞ★★ wrote:
I will correct myself by saying that when I said "tech savvy" I really meant someone who likes to tinker, in this example a pc builder. Mac vs pc, android vs ios, it's a debate that will never end. As a user of all four of those I only can give my opinion, not facts. It's all preference based, no right or wrong answers. A true tech savvy person would know this. The Right Hand wrote: Wait, so I'm false for what "I would personally do" and then you say "it's all about perspective"....

What debate? I'm merely stating that PCs are for kids, and Macs are for everyone; PARTICULARLY those that have been around long enough in I.T. to load programs on paper tape into their mini computers. The ONLY reason to build a PC is that you can't or won't afford a real computer, or at least one that can let you develop software for the most popular platform in the United States.
Of course, I get a little touchy when a PC tinker kid gets all smug about being more "tech savvy" than everyone else. After all, you can press a card into a slot and turn a screw. I know I'm being harsh about it. I've got a duty to defend my many decades of nerdy anti-social sacrifice to the god of electrons and my very educated choice of what is clearly a very solid platform. (And also what is clearly a pile of cheap shit.)
Do not deny the adjective "tech savvy" to people that are beyond the tinkering phase. We get our pocket protectors all twisted.
