Congratulations.... the team who spends four times as much as their opponents won! Good job Yankees.... continue ruining the sport for half of the country. Yeah, baseball will always be popular on the east coast, but it's dying in so many other places because no one can afford to pay their stars once they reach free agency, so one of about 4-5 teams signs them to a 7 year 180 million dollar deal. If it doesn't work out and they become a bust, no biggie, they can just go sign another star player. This is going to cause the downfall of baseball somewhere down the line.

I'm a baseball/football fan, but this is why football is so much better. The owners of the larger markets realized that for football to be successful, the Pittsburghs and the Green Bay's need to have just as much of a chance as the New Yorks and Dallas'. George Steinbrenner is a selfish bastard who didn't give a crap about the sport succeeding, just himself. A New Orleans/Indianapolis Super Bowl can get the highest rated Super bowl ever. Why? It's because all teams have a chance to be interesting in football. Do the Pittsburgh Pirates or Kansas City Royals ever have a chance? Hell NO! Heck, look at Tampa. They got to be really good for a few years, but now their stars are going to be gone and they're going back to being a slightly above average baseball team next year.
This is what frustrates me about the game I love. Sorry, not my typical comment that I post on Turf Wars, I'm just bitter tonight. My hatred of the Yankees is not healthy. I hate them more than I hate anything in sports.

U ruined my thread.

Btw. That same George Steimbrenner that you ao kindly mentioned above passed away. Show some respect. You sound like a spineless redsucks fan. Shoes for u for wasting my time with that useless crap

If your worthless team had a lot of money you wouldnt be
complaining so much, would u? Get off your damn soapbox -
FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!

I'm not a Red Sox fan I'm a baseball fan. My team is the Cardinals, who aren't even in the same league as the Yankees. I speak the truth though.
Yes, Steinbrenner passed on July 4th. But how long am I supposed to be "nice"? I didn't go rejoicing when he died. That would be wrong. But he's been dead for three months now. Back to the "F*** the Yankees attitude for ruining the game I love"

So you were wrong there. I'm a real fan of baseball who sees the sport losing popularity around the country because people don't want to invest in their local team because they won't be able to re sign their players and stay competitive. I think outside of the box of my own team, that's all.If your worthless team had a lot of money you wouldnt be
complaining so much, would u? Get off your damn soapboxAs I said, in baseball the Pirates are irrelevant. In football, the Steelers are one of the most popular teams in football? Its a joke that baseball hasn't and won't ever fix this to give the Pirates a chance

Baseball is boring. Hockey, football, futbol(soccer), golf, basketball, are all better then baseball. I would even watch curling before I would watch baseball. That's how much I don't like baseball.

Oh, look I just read that the Royals are going to listen to offers for Zach Greinke. Wonder why?
