Ok My Turn.....

To those that didn’t use the maps, That is very big of you. I commend you on your honesty. I hopped, and I do not feel bad about it. This is a game that is constantly left open to individual interpretation. A game that has rules set up to protect smaller players yet the same rules can be, what I would consider, abused by larger ones, e.g. !Rouge. And so after a few days of using my maps sparingly I noticed that they were not going away. It wasn't until after a player messaged me about them and I tried using them that I noticed that they were not getting used up. However once again nicks post about the maps was vague and left open to interpretation. I honestly took the "effect wears off" to mean the next use will be a smaller radius. Compounding that was the fact that the second time I used a map the radius was actually smaller and the map had not been used up. So I thought they possibly were to be used a few times at least. Still I did not hop repeatedly with them until the last day of the glitch.

Here is why I do not feel bad. I have been playing this game for a while, Mid December, and I have put a lot into this "Free" iPhone Game. A lot of time, as well as real cash. Is this a free game, yes, can you play on a competitive level in this game for free, no. No I didn't have to put cash into it but I am not alone in doing so. In the time I have been playing I as well as a lot of other players have been waiting and hoping for innovative change to the game to take it to the next level and keep it fun, interesting, and exciting. When the maps started to have the glitch part of me thought, ok maybe this is nicks way of opening up the game a little. See, not all of us want to hop in and destroy smaller players. Some of us like hopping into new areas to interact with new players. I did a lot of hopping yesterday, I haven't hopped in months, it was FUN.....
-
And I have messages from new players that I would have never met otherwise. I like meeting and interacting with new people in this game. It keeps it interesting. The game felt refreshed and new again. I know I am not the only one that felt that way as I have privately spoke to a handful of players today that are of the same sentiment.
More to follow (Damn you Post limiter)

Regarding unlimited hopping and travel, No there should not be unlimited hopping and traveling in the game. I understand the GPS aspect and the maps should not be used in the manner that they were allowed to be used during the time of the glitch. All I'm saying is they are not a very useful item in their current configuration of a one time use only item. Not at the slow rate that they are looted anyway. To that end Charlie is right, maybe when you get one you can use it for an hour or so, something to that effect. We should still have to work our way into new areas or out of hostile areas but make it a little more attainable. Ease up on the leash is all I’m saying.
-
I like this game a lot. I do not consider it just some "free" iphone game. I have had a lot of fun interacting with and meeting new people all over the map because of this game. All I would like is the opportunity to have it open up just a little bit to make these interactions more attainable. There comes a time or a point as a larger player where it almost seems that the game has not progressed and advanced on purpose........
-
To an extent it feels as though the game is almost intended to make older players burn out and leave room for a new crop of players to take over. This is just a feeling that I get a a larger player on that is on the leader boards. I have watched as a good portion of the top players and even a lot of average players have reset and moved on. I hate to see someone go and most of the time it seems as though they are only leaving because they cannot find a reason to stay. There is a ton of feedback given to the devs regarding game play issues and things that should be changed and corrected. While I realize that making even the slightest changes to the game structure can have major consequences in the game itself, there are still some things that could easily be changed for the better and yet are left for the players to just “deal with”.
-
To that end I can only say please listen to your core paying customers and what they have to say. Throw us a meaty bone a little more often and not just a little tid bit every now and then. This game has evolved into a good group of dedicated turfers that are hungry for more. The Map glitch was just a glimpse of the potential that the game has with a few changes and the reason that so many people are pissed off is because they were teased with what it could be in a way. I don’t do game developing but I do know a thing or two when it comes to business. Although this is a “free” iPhone game there are a lot of people obviously willing to drop some coin on this game and if they feel this strongly about some changes maybe it’s time to consider some of them a little more aggressively.
- End Rant…

Great post \V/, I wholeheartedly agree. Good points all around.

Thank you \V/!!! Well thought out. In total agreement.

Seems some of you have outpaced the game with cash and are too bored. What were people telling Belial? "it's lonely at the top"
Seems like you need a break to let others catch up. I did it.
There are other flaws too... Like the turf limit, protecting players like yourself... For people who can buy unlimited turfs, the limit is a protection and it should not be... Level is meaningless for higher level players and the low cap limit of turfs, 50 or 60 for level 100 players is ridiculous.
I think daily limit should be a % of one's turfs(maybe 10%) once the turf limit of a player exceeds level 100 limits, not a # based on level. Cash and time have made the max limit for turfs too small... It allows larger players to expand with little checks and balances...
-
Church \V/ Church
-
What I mean by expansion is that if a player with a 1200 turf limit travels, he should be committed to lay down some turfs and prepared to defend or make friends with locals..
If said player joins a V in one city he is vulnerable in another by lesser players and could possibly be kicked out of a city if he is not committed or has not made friends with locals to help defend.
Once the actual turf lowers as it is capped then the 100 level limit and 10% rules would take effect.
It's a self licking ice cream cone without this... Use cash... Buy hench to outpace your rivals... Buy more turfs... Get more income... 60 turf limit does little to affect either in the Wallet or elsewhere..

Bull God. I think your on about the dynamics of an all out war. I haven't been in an all out warzone like you have so I cant comment due to lack of experience. I think what your getting at is that you would like to see a little more reward for your efforts in going to battle with someone or a group of people. I know that was an issue with your war in Vegas as well as some of the CMS/GC3 wars that went on down south...

twice I've read this and still don't know.for fucks sake, please don't ask for any kind of understanding. If you are a competitive needy useless kind of person, carry on,otherwise just register and skip over to the next bit of relatively interesting bit of stuffMYDADHASBSLLS THATAREALWAYS red

No, it's more of dynamis of a war game and big players getting bored especially if they don't fight.. And scare off many in opposing them... Unless it could be more fruitul in kicking the larger player out of an area.messrine wrote:

The 50 turf limit is not fruitful when all the larger player needs to do is buy more turfs in that area.

U write way too much

It's not even about being in a war... I dont know how many times smaller players contacted me as soon as another larger player was in a V and they wanted me to join their V and help them cap them.
-
You're my hero. Thanks buddy for letting your voice be heard. I hope this has a serious effect on the way the game proceeds from here. 👏👏👏👏

V im beggining to worry about you man, I get the sense you take this game waaaaaaay too seriously. Yes there is a paid element to this game, but to be honest If there were not it would be far superior. I understand that nick needs to make money and can't blame him. But in the uk at least before people started paying so much money the game was great, it required skill. Now all that's needed is a big bank ballence. You want to know why people at the top get bored? They destroy the game for themselves. Simple.now I am guilty of spending far to much on the game also. Not as much as many, I love the game, but itsnot great anymore, the level of skill is decreasing as peoplechuck money at this game. That's why it gets boring

The big get bigger and bored

Basically, its a war game.. Make the the big players fight to stay in the game... You said it yourself... You don't really even fight all that much... Add the dynamic IBull✯God wrote:

Mentioned (raising turf cap limit based on % of turfs owned) and you see some inspired fighting instead of fear and turf hugs... -
And if bigger players want to lower their turfs to lower their cap limit at least their income will take a hit and slow their wallet growth.
-
Well it is always possible that what I was saying is true. Burnout is built into the game and expected. I dunno if that should be the case. But maybe it is.
As for me taking it way to seriously I don't feel that way. I've been here for a while and I'm pretty much reiterating the sentiments of a lot of other players. Some that may not even use the forums. But you are right. I may just be hoping for more out of just an iPhone app. That's kind of what I'm getting at.
As for the big get bored. I don't think it would matter if I had 5k mob or 20k mob. I'm not out to assinate anyone in this game. Just interact with people and have fun. I bought into hench early on to battle then I was diligent with codes from that
point. With others quitting and resetting I moved up the list.Moving into new areas an meeting new people is fun for me. That's all.
-
Those new areas are fun... But could be better if you could be capped out
-
Well I don't have to stay fully armed. If I wanted a challenge I could just drop weapons and go to battle. But as you already know that would just lead to a lot of chasing trails and rebuilding.
Don't get me wrong if the game is what it is and that's it I'm fine with it. I'll either adapt and deal or move on. This post wasn't supposed to be about me specifically, more about the game direction as a whole.
