A question about attack power versus defense power

!I've reset Oct 14, 2010

I have 7300 mob/7300 Kevlar/7300 tommies. My attack power is 190325. I attack someone with 5158 mob/5158 Kevlar/5158 lupas rifle which equals 165056 defense.
So I have roughly 25000 more attack power then his defense.
My question is why do I lose 50%- 65% of my fights against him? Is there something I dont know about? Just makes no sense to me. Anyone have a good answer and not a random guess? Thanks for your time.

His D is about 86% of your A.

That's pretty close to even keel. You need to be about 25% stronger for better win %age.

look in your profile where it says attack defense and theres a number beneath it. That contributes to overall attack and defense... Not that confusing.
Winning and losing the fights is also pretty random.

The game favours defence over attack. I read in an old forum post that to win consistently, your attack should be 1.3 times their defence.

The reverse also seems true. If their defence is more than 1.3 times your attack you will lose.

Thank you. I hadn't thought about it like that. So the actual attack/defense numbers themselves don't matter as much as having +25% over defense is what you're saying?

get 25-30% more mob (with equivalent weap/arm) and you'll be fine imo.

They are an addition not a multiplyer. An extra 250 points is less then 10 mob with armor and lapuas.

Don't waste points on your profile's Attack or Defence .. You're better off gaining mob and arming them for equivalent attack
