Sad - A lion was killed last week by Dentist/Hunter & people got upset/angry around the world, got headlines in every mainstream media, even Obama spoke about it 👏
Yesterday 18 MONTH OLD BABY was burned alive in his own home by Jewish Terrorist, 99% of people didn't knw or didn't hear the news WHY?

Personally I was sickened by both events but agree that something is very wrong when Cecil gets more airtime (still) than that poor little baby.
Think this might me a symptom of the social media revolution, where the most viewed/debated social media stories are given higher priority on the primetime slots - all very messed up really

Its the medias fault for mostly everything. Look at the U.S. most black people are going on a social war against cops because the media shows a shit ton of police brutalities towards colored people but in reality thats towards EVERY race, not just colored people.

It's stupid. People are in Afghanistan and Iraq getting killed in a war that already passed and nobody is saying anything and now that a lion "cecil" gets killed, suddenly the whole world knows who the lion is. Why don't they do that for everyone else who has been killed in combat. Smh. What the world has come too.

Well I don't think all the "regular" lions wandering around have names. The articles I read said he was the main attraction and well known and identifiable, hence me using the word "prized". And I highly doubt more than a handful of the people like when people come over and use illegal methods to take game. The guide and the landowner are facing potential prison time.

No exotic or endangered animal should be killed for sport. I agree with that.
I also feel that, as a species, we have bigger concerns- poverty, war, environmental destruction on a global scale....
But screw it(!) lets all just get incensed with impotent rage at some relatively small incident on the world stage.
