Best solution is to westernize their country. Give them free satellite t.v. Give them free access to all the American t.v channels. Give them fast food and Walmart. Give them Internet . It will not eliminate radicals but will sure reduce them.

The US could always stop creating the groups to fight secret wars to begin with.

Wait, no it wasn't...
But let's certainly not blame religious fanaticism. That would be way out of line.

Let us remeber that ISIS does not represent all of islam

Yeah, we better just back down and not get involved.

What do you think, Frank?

The threat is fucking tiny. If you feel threatened in the states from radical Islamists then you pay way too much attention to the media.

Didn't say we don't get involved. Saying we either get involved or don't. We don't give weapons to "rebels" and send them to fight for us. Why? Because history has shown over and over again that in time they get powerful and rebel against the US.OneToedBastard wrote:

Thanks for that. Do you have any policy advice beyond the 1980s?But we did help them route the Soviets, doncha know, and lemme tell you that we have and continue to train Afghani security forces to defend their country, EXACTLY as we did in the 1980s. Though this time maybe you have no problem with it?
The stinger missile batteries are flat, and we didn't give them AK-47s or the tanks. (TANKS?! What are you smoking?) We want a free and prosperous society over there. Holding them down to the 1200s was wrong, England. Now we are all building them schools together, and shooting those that want to keep them in the 1200s IN THE FACE.
Involved, we are.

Total annihilation is the only solution. One big-ass bomb that settles the question or lack there of.
1) one bomb doesn't eliminate a world-wide perversion of a marginally legittimate religion
2) we weren't prepared to do so 40+ years ago to settle a problem, and less so today
3) we're not perfect either
4) islam (ottomans) have been hell-bent on destroying anyone but those in the fold. That's been going on 1500+ years.5) other religions have been just as evil, but they've assimilated their opponents. Islamic extremists say it's there way or no way.
6) we've evolved (less than perfectly), they hold fast. Severe heads. Rape or enslave women. Kill other religous groups. Eliminate or deny records of opponents.
7) kill or be killed... Get used to it... 😔

Is there even an answer to this?
I mean, back in the mediëval times, they got pushed back by force, and only over time europe was able to push them back.
These days however, we cant resort to those kind of options as they are deemed "inhuman".
Does not take away the fact that they themselves turn to these kind of inhuman ways.
What they are accomplishing however, is inducing fear into the western world, wich, slowly over time, we are giving in to. -

First rule of war is to know your enemy. In this case, that means at least reading the Koran. I've forced myself to read it. I came away with the impression that in some cases it claims tolerance. But in others cutting your enemy's head is the best thing. The book is an absolute philosophical slophouse for sure.
The problem is who interprets it. A more intelligent mind will bend around the more severe statements. Unfortunately, the more angry and less insightful mind wil grasp onto to nasty parts.
Statistically, the majority of those who've used the nasty parts to justify violence tend to be less educated and impoverished.
So perhaps, education, a job and an occasional hand-job from someone they find attractive might mitigate poor Ahmad's anger?
In short- I endorse Outlaw's first suggestion. And maybe a bottle of lube too.
If not- I think Frank Zappa's idea of dropping pork bombs might equally terrorize them

It precisely is an issue of religion. Do you disagree? I realize as a liberal, you are conflicted. Culture is sacred. If they want to slice off their daughter's clitoris before she becomes "difficult", you feel a need to respect that. If they decapitate a few homosexuals, you don't mind. Multiculturalism is the new mantra of the social justice warrior left.Of course, radical Christians, you hate them. Right?
So conflicted, so conflicted...
There is no easy solution. Kill or be killed until we can assimilate them. That's all we got right now. What's your answer?

Stop funding them would be a great start

@Stagger
I think the book was put together for an illiterate, megalomaniacal, and dangerous man. The book is an attempt to rationalize him from the perspective of those he controlled. I'd expect similar from those around Kim Jung Il who are either brainwashed or in fear.I agree with you. More moderate and educated people seem to find the ability to ignore the harsh bits in the writings of Judeo-Christian-Muslim writings, but still live by the good bits. As soon as anyone picks up a bible or Koran and takes it as the literal word of God, bad shit goes down.
I follow Mein Kampf, myself. Just the good bits, lol!
