The keys to success
Forums › General Discussion › The keys to success-
There are many things that can make or break a person or group when it comes to battles in TW. Here are a few Keys along with some potential pitfalls in my opinion.
1) you need to GETCH yourself a solid group of players who share the common goal you are all working towards.
2) you can't be scarzy to take a chance every once in a while and try something new. Sometimes a change of venue to shake things up is just what the dr ordered.
3) you need to Duair your homework ahead of time and know your opponent inside & out. Know what makes them tick, how they're gonna respond and what pushes their buttons.
-
4) don't be a Conn. Be up front with your intentions if & when confronted. Change of heart after the fact is just in poor taste in my personal oppinion.
5) if you've been inactive for a while, be sure to get your mojo out of retirement before you start preaching about what a Tough Guy you are.
5) sure this is a war game and who amungst us wouldn't enjoy dabbling in some Spy games? Unfortunately for the novice participant , they usually end up in an arm bar and a knee to the throat screaming more cow bell, MORE COW BELL!
6) apop-oximately 2/3 of all battles are dunn within the first 7 days of fighting. Edd-ucating yourself on several strategies that can be run at the same time is a killer idea.
-
7) it's a fallacy that zooming into an area guns blazing is considered hardcore.
8) for the love of all involved, don't be a Baby face and whine about anything and everything.
9) when its time to get down to business healing or capping, it's important that you macas yourself comfortable. There is a TW urban legend that states that if you get completely naked & surround yourself with fresh heather just before you start capping, you are nearly invincible.
10) if you are fortunate enough to find yourself on the winning end of a hard fought battle, don't be a jerk and start acting like a big Mann. Just play it coolio.

11) don't get discouraged. You can't win all the time. Sometime you've got your opponent right in your cross hairs and something happens and instead of a kill all your left is Themis.
12) while it's true that it takes two to tango, there's usually a clear protagonist & antagonist in every battle so do everyone a favor and know your role. Don't play innocent if your not, there's only a select few who can get away with that crap.
13). Always beware of your surroundings when turfing outdoors. Screwing with Mother Nature can be a bitch. One minute you're fine the next you're engulfed with a brook flood which keeps you bogged down for weeks.

It's actually a tribute to a bunch of numb nuts knocking heads the old fashion TW way in a specific place. Old school fun. The best kind.
