Found an easier way to get my points today. Still had to horse head bomp and restart my phone, then just posted "Charlie, Charlie, Are you there?" twice on Mystery's wall and got them right away.

Sending ME shoes appears to slightly increase your chances of getting the points, but only if your screen name contains four or more "e"s.
