Just experienced my first earthquake. It was at 3.2 magnitude. The epicenter was only a mile from my house. I know this is nothing compared to other parts of the world. Anyone have any earthquake stories to share?

I experienced a 3.2 yesterday morning but it was about 14 miles away.

72 Sylmar quake was scary. I was only 10. My bed fell apart, all of our cabinets opened up and everything fell out and broke. Shower glass exploded.

Northridge quake I was on the phone with someone about 15 miles away. Quake hit about 10 seconds earlier for him.

Lots of small earthquakes only maybe 6 in my life but always sounds like a large dump truck driving by except some stuff falling of the shelfs

Yeah not too long ago on the east coast. I was in a cake shop, buying a cake for my sister's party and it happened. Cakes toppled from the display and hit me right in the face. On top of that I was screaming "Mom were going to die!". Apperantly that was a " mini quake", but it got me good.

I was at the beach south of my town that day, so I didn't experience it.

I haven't experienced any. The closest I've been was 40 miles away from the same earthquake and I felt nothing.

Even though I live in Cali, (hundreds of earthquakes per year) I've only noticed one of them.. October 30, 2007 shit had me running under a table haha!! Was suppose to be a 6.9 on the scale but later confirmed a 5.6 ..

The earthquake that struck the DC area a few years ago, I experienced here in PA. It happened at work while I was pooping. Toilet was swaying and my ass got wet!!!!

I was running around the house with a model M-16A2, it scared the CoD out of me. I play Ace Combat because of it.

I was in my kitchen when that happened. I thought it was the washing machine, but then something fell off the top of the fridge. Not much else happened, tho.

I've experienced quite a few quakes in my life! The worst was by far the 1989 quake that hit the Bay Area during the "Battle of the Bay" World Series! I remember running a couple miles all the way home from school so that I could make sure to tune in for the 1st pitch of the game! Seconds after I found my spot on the floor in front of the TV that was on a stand, the shaking started! I jumped up to get into the doorway, and a second later the TV feel right were I'd been sitting!
The worst part was the fact that the old dbl deck Cypress Freeway that used to run thru downtown Oakland had completely collapsed...they were pulling bodies out of their for weeks!!

5.6 in Newcastle Australia back in 1989. Shit was going everywhere. Knocked a lot of buildings down in the CBD.

Currently in Nepal delivering supplies to remote villages who are unreached by the large NGO's. Was about 50km from Tuesday's 7.4 earthquake's epicenter. Crazy place to be right now.

I experienced a 6.8 in the Seattle area in 2001. My first one, and hopefully my last. Sh*t is N U T S ! My roll up door (15' in a car shop) was literally rolling like a wave. The ceiling fan banged both sides of the ceiling.
