MOB.CODES - Punch Here!
Forums › General Discussion › MOB.CODES - Punch Here!-
I think 3 strikes is a good balance. I think one or two, and people are too conservative with the hammer, or mistakes may cause valid codes to go away. Any more, and older bad codes would never get enough down votes.
But I think most people are not marking bad ones when they find them. I think I understand why... It doesn't directly help a person to mark bad ones. There's no incentive other than warm fuzzies for helping people that come later.
But is there a better way?
Perhaps a super secret code validating API? Wink, wink, Nick? Every bad code that I check and eliminate saves hundreds of users trying to add it after the fact. Save compute and network resources. Make friends; influence people. ;)

Finished the 'New' code list last night. I'm a little over 1k into the historic code list. Thanks for the site!

I've been using mob.codes for a long time, but suddenly I'm getting "Error logging in" whenever I try to log in. I'm logging in with the same account as I always do. I don't understand why I'm getting an error...

Ok. It fixed itself now

Robertiscool is spamming invalid codes. I marked them all as bad but it's really frustrating.

Are you able to sort the historic codes by date added back in ICM?
Probably a long shot since when you acquired the code this, it would of been present in order I'm guessing so you simply uploaded that list.
I guess I just don't want to have to punch another 68K historic codes in hopes for some returns.

Punchers - please mark bad codes bad. 🙏 I'm catching up on codes & finding codes that shouldn't show up anymore.
For example, I've seen several temp codes in the punch section from as far back as a week ago. I've also seen a couple codes that were bad when they were entered - the correct code was at the same time. The one I just ran across was entered on Jan 4th.

Been running into the same thing! I double check codes before I add them to the data base. If my codes are bad it's due to the player changing their code.Punchers - please mark bad codes bad. 🙏 I'm catching up on codes & finding codes that shouldn't show up anymore.

PLEASE MARK INVALID CODES AS SUCH

Also been seeing a few people who add their code to the database more than once by putting hypens next to the code.

Can't log in. Used every password combination I've ever used (don't have many different ones) still not in.
So, is there maintenance keeping everyone out or is it just me? And secondly, why is there no account recovery options?

So you re-use your passwords, and you don't have many different ones. Tell us all more. This is good info. What are some of the other sites you frequent? Can't log in. Used every password combination I've ever used (don't have many different ones) still not in.

By the way, after a couple logon failures, it puts a temporary lock on the account. So it's possible that one of the last passwords you tried might have been correct, but you wouldn't know if it was.
There are no password recovery options because I like torturing people with poor account management habits. Dance, user. Dance.

"Would you believe..."
Temp codes un-punched per user are not as easy to count as regular codes. It's just the way I chose to roll them through the database in a disposable fashion. Old codes are important to keep. Old temps aren't. So to get that number, I'd have to go through all active temps one by one and increment a counter for those that are not in your punched tables, which can get very large over time.
I think having that stat on the home page would be too computationally expensive. It's possible, but I don't want to slow everything down to do it.

Why would you need that? All you gotta do is type in your account credentials, click login and then click temps.
